The great thing about this van is the compromise between size and manoeuvrability. It's big enough to stand up in and to relax in, it's got an awning to enjoy sitting outside, yet it's not a monster that takes up too much space. For that reason, too, it's easy to drive. We've had great use from it. As well as holidays, we've used it when I've gone to weddings to sleep off the night's drink somewhere comfy - and my goodness, it really is comfy to sleep in. I've used it, too, when I've gone to conferences to save on hotel accommodation, and we've been to festivals in it. We love this van and it has made us both very happy. It's a home build from an ambulance. The guy I bought it from had work in a care home and lived on site, and needed the van as a place to break away. He'd hardly used it when I bought it, about 10 years ago. It comes with a zig unit, cassette loo and toilet sink, so you can empty it from outside, gas hob, sink, (we're also throwing in the pots and pans and the peltier coolbox!) a comfy bed. It has its own internal lighting, as well as the lighting circuit that runs off the leisure battery. It also has a 240v hook-up, though we don't have any 240v items in it, so superfluous to requirement for us. The van has done us sterling service, but now needs to be welded mainly to the rear, but also to a lesser amount around the front spring hangers, and that's basically what it's failed on. The CV boot and the brake pipe replacement are easy fixes - but the main thing for me is that I can't weld. If somebody can, then this is a great van, fully kitted out - which is the main thing. The engine works fine and I've had no problems with it over the years. It has a couple of minor things to sort out - a cracked grab handle to the passenger side door and the side door handle has cracked handle. All is quite minor. Overall, the LWB van is now just waiting for someone to breathe new life into it. Remember, it is SORN and you'll need to tow it away when you come to get her. Please note, this is relisted because the last buyer just didn't contact me at all. Very odd. Genuine bidders welcome! Here's the MOT report: Offside Front Brake pipe leaking on a hydraulic braking system Brake pipe failure (1.1.11 (b) (ii))Repair immediately (major defects):Offside Front Outer Drive shaft joint constant velocity boot split or insecure, no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (6.1.7 (g) (ii))Nearside Front Brake pipe excessively corroded (1.1.11 (c))Offside Front Brake pipe excessively corroded (1.1.11 (c))Nearside Rear Suspension spring mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength rear (5.3.6 (a) (i))Offside Rear Suspension spring mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength rear (5.3.6 (a) (i))Offside Rear Suspension spring mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength front. inner and outer sill (5.3.6 (a) (i))Nearside Front Subframe mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength (5.3.6 (a) (i))Offside Front Subframe mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength (5.3.6 (a) (i))Nearside Front Suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength inner wing (5.3.6 (a) (i))Offside Front Suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength inner wing (5.3.6 (a) (i))Offside Front Suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength bulkhead (5.3.6 (a) (i))Brake performance not tested Due to brake pipe failure (1.2.1 (g)) I do hope someone will take this fully decked out van and make it live again. It's given us the most magical times, and will do again for someone else, I'm sure. Condition: Used, Condition: This vehicle is in need of welding to the underside, and has no MOT. It also needs the brakes repaired. It is currently SORN and will need to be towed away.
